Students for Christ

"Reaching students for Christ Worldwide!"

Meet the Founders

Pastors John & Roslyn Das

SFC was established by John Das as a student at Old Dominion University.  He sought to unite campus ministries on the campus in order to reach ODU students.  Later, it was called the Intercollegiate Ministry and then changed back to Students for Christ.  His desire to reach his college campus, then large masses of people has now expanded into a worldwide venture.

As an international missionary, youth leader and pastor, John Das, has traveled worldwide, reaching thousands of middle school, high school, and collegiate students for Christ.  At the age of 16, in a crusade across Africa, over 2,000 young people were led to Christ through Pastor John Das' dynamic ministry of evangelism.

Pastor John Das also has over 12 years of college ministry experience.  His comedic messages draw students of all ages, cultures and backgrounds.  Although many congregations have been knocked out of their seats in laughter, his capability to bring the scriptures to life brings the hardest heart to the altar in tears.  The dichotomy of lightheartedness and an underlining tone of seriousness in his messages is mind boggling, bringing a balm to the hurt, fire to the watered down and freedom to the bound.

He has spoken at various conferences, colleges, high schools, and churches in the U.S., Africa, and Europe.  He has outreached to groups such as Inter Varsity, Old Dominion University, Hampton University, Christopher Newport University, Hampton Christian School, and Impact.

John Das is now the leader and founder of Students for Christ International, a world wide outreach to students of all ages.  He is also the CEO of Lighthouse Praise- a Christian Concert Promotion Company, holding a B.A. in Marketing from Old Dominion University.

John is also the husband of his beautiful wife, Roslyn, and loving father of 4: Isaac, Michael, Jasmine, & Justine.
